Get Your Packing List Out
Your carefree and exciting Bali holiday is coming up. Book your tickets and start packing your suitcases. Don’t over stuff them, you’ll need the space to pack all the beautiful coastal inspired clothing you purchase in Bali! In this article, we have provided a quick look at how to pack like a pro for Bali.
1. CLOTHES
Bikinis, beach cover-ups, loose clothing and dressy outfits are what you need for your holiday. Bali is a mix of laid-back, relaxed style and cutting-edge fashion. For a night out at Breeze by the beach, you can dress up in an elegant kaftan and chandelier earrings teamed with sparkly sandals. For a pool day at Mrs. Sippy with the kids, pack your favourite bikini. A cover-up and flip-flops will help you transition your outfit smoothly from day to night. A vintage-looking denim playsuit is just perfect for a coffee at Revolver Espresso.
If you like to keep more active on your holidays, Chandra offers its guests personal martial arts and yoga classes. You can learn Tai Chi, ChiGung, Taekwondo, meditation and yoga styles like Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga and Sivananda. Ideally, pack a set of workout clothes and comfortable sneakers for your personal session with international instructors from Bali Yoga & Wellness.
As well as in villa activities, closeby Seminyak beach is perfect for a good surf. You can carry your surfing equipment to Bali or rent out surfboards if you don’t like to travel with boards. Bali waters are warm, so a one-piece rash suit or lycra top with bikini is perfect when in the water.
2. FOOTWEAR
Relax barefoot in your private villa and around the pool at Chandra. When you step out, you can carry flip-flops for the beach and pool, casual shoes for sightseeing the amazing Bali tourist spots, sports shoes for a morning jog on the beach and going out shoes for partying around Seminyak. Pack shoes according to the outfits you have brought and the activities you plan to engage in during your stay.
3. HEALTH
You should bring any medicines you take on a regular basis because these same medications might not be available in Indonesia. In addition, bring insect repellents and sunburn cream if you require. Before you fly, always check your medication’s ingredients to make sure that none are banned. Some common over the counter or prescribed painkillers, sleeping pills, ADHD pills and other medicines containing morphine, pseudoephedrine, dexamphetamine, benzodiazepine and codeine are illegal in Indonesia.
You can carry the medicines in the original packing as well as your doctor’s prescription. If you are carrying heavy medication or a lot of it, you can ask your GP to list out the names/ ingredients of the medicines along with their use. This will help the customs’ officials understand your condition and could keep them from confiscating your medicines.
4. DOCUMENTS
It goes without saying that your passport and other official Government documents have to kept extremely safe when travelling. We understand the importance of this and provide a personal safe in every bedroom in Chandra. We also suggest you carry photocopies and soft copies of your documents in case you lose something.
As of 2017, Australians with a valid passport travelling to Bali are eligible for a free visa on arrival valid for a 30-day period. If you would like to extend your trip, charges will apply accordingly.
5. RELAXING TIME AT CHANDRA
There’s nothing better than catching up on your favourite book while sunbathing. Kick back in the balmy Bali weather with a cocktail and your current playlist.
