Sunset walk along the Seminyak Beach

Seminyak Beach is a continuous expanse of grey sand stretching in both directions as far as the eye can see. Bali is blessed with sunsets over the water and the cheapest entertainment in town is a walk along the long stretch of Seminyak beach at 6pm. On the way, you can buy drinks, hire a surfboard, rent a sun lounger or just park on the sand to watch the golden sun dip down over the Indian Ocean.

Attend a religious ceremony at Pura Petitenget temple

Pura Petitenget might not be as impressive as some of Bali’s better known temples, but with its central location at the beach right off Jalan Petitenget, it is reachable by foot from most locations in Seminyak. Don your sarong, wrapped over trousers, and visit this temple just before sunset when the light catches the mossy sculptures for a quintessentially Balinese moment. If you are lucky you might get to see one of the spectacular beach side ceremonies that are regularly held in front of the temple.
